Chateau Romfort Cote de Bourg - Merlot 2020

From 10 hectares of clay soils, this blend of 70% Merlot, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2% Malbec is crafted from 22-year-old vines at a density of 5,500 plants/ha. The grapes are fully destemmed, fermented under strict temperature control, and undergo long maceration to extract depth and character.

The wine matures primarily in stainless steel for 18 months, with a portion aged in French oak barrels, yielding a balance of fruit purity and subtle structure.

Deep in color, it shows elegant aromas of red fruits, while the palate is supple and medium-bodied with ripe tannins and a velvety texture. Balanced and refined, it is approachable yet noble in style.

Best enjoyed with barbecue, roasted meats, cheeses, or simply on its own. Serve between 16–18°C.
