Bottle of Château Romfort red wine on a white background

Chateau Romfort Blaye Cote de Bordeaux - Merlot 2020

From 15 hectares of clay and sandy-gravel soils, this classic Bordeaux blend of 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Malbec is crafted from 20-year-old vines planted at high density (5,000–6,667 plants/ha). With an average annual production of 60,000 bottles, the estate emphasizes careful vineyard management and meticulous winemaking.

Grapes are fully destemmed, fermented under strict temperature control, and undergo a long maceration to extract depth and character. The wine is matured primarily in stainless steel vats to preserve fruit purity, with a portion aged in French oak barrels for added complexity.

Deep and bright in color, it shows rich red fruit flavors and a supple, velvety texture on the palate. Balanced and elegant, this is a medium-bodied, noble expression of Bordeaux.

Best enjoyed with roasted meats, cheeses, vegetarian dishes, or on its own. Serve between 16–18°C.
