Fig 10 de Bel-Air La Royère 2022

From 75-year-old vines rooted in clay-limestone soils, Fig 10 is a rare, certified-organic cuvée made only in exceptional vintages and in extremely limited quantities. Crafted entirely from 100% Malbec, the wine reflects Château Bel-Air La Royère’s commitment to preserving this historic grape variety and expressing its fullest potential in Blaye.

Fermentation and aging take place exclusively in amphora, a technique that enhances purity, balance, and aromatic complexity. The wine undergoes a gentle three-week maceration, with malolactic fermentation completed before the end of primary fermentation, resulting in remarkable texture and harmony.

Fig 10 2022 reveals concentrated aromas of blackberries, dark cherry, and cocoa, alongside notes of spice and minerality. The palate is juicy and structured, with firm yet refined tannins and a long, elegant finish. This amphora-aged Malbec stands out for its freshness, depth, and unique identity within Bordeaux.

Perfect for pairing with rich meats, braised dishes, duck, aged cheeses, and dark-chocolate-based preparations.
